The best part: Animals in Kruger!

And now for the best part, the animals!

I went to Kruger with super low expectations because you never know what you’ll see. So when we saw monkeys, hyenas, and giraffes before even leaving Marloth Park I was absolutely thrilled.

And the thrill lasted all day.

Not only did we see the big five (rhinoceros, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and lion) but giraffes, zebras, warthogs, hippos, and a million plus birds.

We stopped for lunch and grilled some meats overlooking a valley of greenness. In the distance you could see hippos in the river, Boks grazing, and the occasional bigger animal. The hippos were super loud, making all sorts of inappropriate noises while we ate. Maybe they could smell the food cooking.
