Cupcakes for 4th of July!! How else to celebrate American independence then with piles of processed sugar?
They’re red velevet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting, I used the recipe from one of my favorite food blogs, Smitten Kitchen. The recipe is absolutely decadent and while I usually make substitutions for things like eggs and oil, no such luck for this batch. No complaints from my coworkers though, the cupcakes were gone within minutes!!
We’re midway through orientation, and things are going swimmingly. I’ve barely a minute to myself though, we’re kept super busy. Today’s no different and tomorrow we tour a township.
So it has been a total whirlwind. I’m hoping that I’ll have a moment this weekend to post photos from Zurich and fill you in about the last couple of weeks.
